Padziwe Digital Library (PDL)
Padziwe Digital Library (PDL) is computer software which contains learning resources for Malawi School Certification Education (MSCE). The learning resources come in form of easy-to-understand lessons, books, topical exercise questions and examination papers. PDL also contains other resources such as study guides (syllabi) and motivational videos.
The current version of PDL (version 2.0) is based upon the MSCE syllabus which came into full effect in 2018. This software aims to be a supplementary study tool to the students studying using this syllabus.

Padziwe Digital Library was developed to help students easily understand lessons, more especially the scientific ones. PDL seeks to achieve this by presenting lessons through a variety of media types such as HTML5 animations, videos, audios, slideshows, graphics, and plain texts. These media types all work together to make sure a particular topic is easier to understand
Why Padziwe Digital Library?
Padziwe Digital Library was developed to help students easily understand lessons, more especially the scientific ones. PDL seeks to achieve this by presenting lessons through a variety of media types which allow students to interact with them or visualize certain processes through video simulations. There are flash and HTML5 animations, videos, audios, slideshows, graphics, and plain texts. These media types all work together to make sure a particular topic is covered comprehensively and presented in an easy-to-understand manner to the student.
It is common knowledge that usually students are easily bored and turned off when reading dead text and diagrams on print-based materials such as books. With PDL, however, learning becomes alive to students and their concentration span is bound to increase. The interactivity and visual presentation offered by the animations videos make students to be actively engaged in the learning process.
